The colorful message in a bottle

This wonderful children’s book from 1968 by Lore Leher and Hetty Kirst-Schulz illustrates in just a few pages and almost without words that the essence of human communication is a matter of the heart and as such can even function without words.

Sound spaces of the heart

The following two links will take you to Youtube, or more precisely: to music.youtube.com. We have no influence on the processing of your data by YouTube:
Here you can listen to the poem “Aus der Tiefe Meines Herzens” to music.
And here you can listen to the poem “Everyone has a song” .

From the depths of my heart

Poem by Khalil Gibran about the soul

From the depths of my heart
a bird rose
and flew
Heavenwards
higher and higher
he swung himself up
and was
visibly larger

At first he was
as big as a swallow
and then
like a lark
Later he had
the size of an eagle
then that of a spring cloud
and finally
he filled the whole sky

from the depths of my heart
a bird flew
Heavenwards
the higher he flew
the bigger it became
but he left
not my heart.

Everyone has a song

I have one song and you have another.
Everyone has a song.
A psalm lies hidden in the treasury of the soul,
you don’t sing it out loud.
You and I can make it resonate within us, stretch a string from the heart to the mind.
So we sing the world quietly up to heaven.
